Video Card help

Just wondering if anybody can suggest a video card equal to or just a notch above Nvidia's 8600GT ... I'm not interested in major top-of-the-line cards because I don't know what my motherboard can handle (sry, not a computer techie). It would not be cool to go get a new card, and have it zap my motherboard.

According to specs, the power supply is 300watt..

For all my computer tech needs, lol i usually go to Best buy - or Geek Squad would be your best bets, rather than asking us because we also don't know what your motherboard can handle, so i would go to the nearest computer Tech Store around where you live for assistance sorry i couldn't be more of assistance ^.^ -
